Assessments
Lean Evaluations
Assessment, or evaluation, is an integral part of the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Adjust) process of continuous improvement in Lean methodologies. Transforming the process for delivering projects, as well as industry culture, is what this assessment technology is all about. Explore why Lean assessments are useful, then evaluate your strengths and weaknesses with LCI’s individual, team, or organizational assessments.
About Lean Assessments
In order to improve and create a future state, you must first understand your current state. Lean Assessments are all about just that: evaluating where you currently are as an individual, team, or organization. These are not tests in the black-and-white sense – you cannot pass or fail a Lean Assessment. These assessments are about calibrating your current usage of Lean so you have a baseline for improvement. There is no right or wrong place to be, so answer honestly!
After all, the ideas of “pass” and “fail” do not coexist with a Lean mindset in the first place, so it’s best to dispel those notions now! In a Lean environment, we are continuously striving to improve and to seek opportunities for learning and advancement. Even if you have been working with Lean methods for decades, there is always more to learn and more ways to innovate.
Through these Lean Assessments, you’ll answer a series of questions about how you, your team, or your organization currently operate. If some of the terms used in the questions seem new to you, don’t worry – we have carefully curated a list of corresponding resources that will put you on a path toward understanding.
If you are brand new to Lean, welcome. We couldn’t be more excited to begin this journey with you.
If you are an experienced Lean practitioner, we thank you for joining our ranks, and we look forward to learning with you and from you as we continue to drive the industry forward.
Take your Lean Assessment today and begin – or continue – your journey toward creating a better industry for everyone!
