Hoshin Kanri Demystified (Northern California CoP)

Northern California Community of Practice

This presentation will define and explain hoshin kanri, a.k.a. “Lean strategy deployment” in a way that everyone can understand and access. We’ll walk through our own Lean strategy deployment journey at Haley & Aldrich, including successes and lessons learned, and the type of effort required to reap the benefits of this powerful planning and execution approach. I’ll provide suggested resources to learn more about applying hoshin kanri in your own organization, and encourage questions, ideas, and discussion from the group.

Speaker:

Kelly C. Meade, Haley & Adlrich, Inc. -
Kelly is Haley & Aldrich’s Lean Journey Program Manager. She helps and learns alongside people in the built environment how to improve their potential through Lean – from the field to the shop floor to the C-suite. She has been   lucky enough to apply Lean thinking to any situation where humans are involved trying to do something meaningful – including design and construction, building teams, capital planning, facilities management, raising children, cooking   food, and living with another adult in close quarters.
