Introduction and Application of 2-Second Lean (Greater Des Moines CoP)

2-Second Lean is a methodology pioneered by Paul Akers, owner of FastCap, to grow people and build a Lean culture. This monthly meeting will introduce the concept and principals of 2-second Lean, and discussions on how to implement these into construction and everyone’s daily role.

Speaker:

• Joshua Thrap is a 2005 Iowa State University Construction Engineering graduate and is currently a Senior Project Manager & Director Of Construction Operations at Hy-Vee Construction where he has been very active in continuous improvement for the betterment of the industry. He presented at the LCI’s Annual Congress in 2015, and spoke at the 2015 Iowa Lean Consortium Annual Conference. He received his CM-Lean designation through MBI in 2017 and earned his Master Builder Achievement Award through MBI in 2018.
