LCI honors Douglas Lee, with Chairman’s Award at upcoming LCI Congress
The Lean Construction Institute (LCI) will recognize Brasfield & Gorrie’s Douglas Lee for his work moving the design and construction industry forward through LCI’s mission by honoring him with the Chairman Award at its 24th Annual Congress.

The Chairman’s Award recognizes individuals who have moved the Lean Construction Institute forward in meeting its mission of Transforming the Design and Construction industry though Lean solutions. within his organization
Douglas’ Lean journey began 15 years ago in 2007 with his involvement with the Texoma hospital project. Douglas brought a strong mix of practical construction along with keen conceptual estimating skills. Douglas has continued to be a strong leader on countless IPD/Lean projects leading all aspects of Lean implementation. He has become known as a ‘Big L’ in the Lean community. Douglas works with team members to implement collaborative strategies around budget/schedule in new environments where people are not used to working that way. Douglas jumpstarted the Lean transformation at Brasfield & Gorrie, which is now well underway. Douglas has supported LCI Community of Practice Events, teaches and presents at LCI Design Forum and LCI Congress and is an LCI course instructor. Brasfield & Gorrie is an ongoing sponsor of Congress and Design Forum.
These outstanding contributions to promoting Lean education and LCI program support make Douglas Lee a most worthy recipient of the award. LCI greatly appreciates of all his efforts on our behalf, actions which will have lasting positive effects on the design and construction industry.
