5S is a five-step organization technique that practices sort, set, shine, standardize and sustain objectives to create and maintain an intuitive workspace which can create an immediate transformation of the workplace.

Following the training portion of the event, participants will be invited to join the tour of the McKenney’s campus to see how they are using 5s daily

Speakers:

  • Mary Grace Edwards, McKenney's Inc.
    Mary Grace is a Construction Quality Analyst with McKenney’s Inc. She graduated from Auburn University where she majored in Industrial Engineering. After graduating from Auburn, Mary Grace returned home to Atlanta and has worked for McKenney’s for the last 4 years. Her current Lean focuses at McKenney’s include: Root Cause Analysis, Continuous/Process Improvement efforts, 5s and 8 Wastes.
  • Jeremiah Sugarman, J.E. Dunn Construction
    Jeremiah is a Lean Services Manager with more than 20 years of experience in both Design and Construction. He started his lean journey as an architect on an IPD project and has since lead multiple project teams in their lean journey. Jeremiah now works for JE Dunn Construction coaching project teams, internal departments, and lean champions.

Lunch will be provided starting at 11:00am.

In order to tour the facility please have the following PPE with you: closed toe shoes, gloves and glasses (gloves and glasses will be provided if you don’t have your own)
